Humpback Leviathan

Common name: Humpback Leviathan
Size: Max 12m
Habitat: Open ocean, breeds in lagoons and bays
Age: Sexually mature 2 years, can live for up to 40 years
Prey: Seabirds, large fish, other sea reptiles, squid
Predated: Occasionally by packs of sea dragons

Part of an art project about life in the future (in 10 million years time to be precise). I will update this over the year and this will probably get moved to scraps.

Anyways its a Leviathan, descended from ocean going crocodiles. With the extinction of whales and most large sharks there was a free spot for top predators, and these and some huge bony fish such as the sea dragon (will add later...) have become top ocean predators.

Named after the Biblical sea monster leviathan, thought to be based on crocodiles.
